Patricia Margaret Dye

Patricia Margaret Dye, "Pat", "Tish" or "Tisha", passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on February 25, 2025 after suffering a heart attack and subsequent stroke. Pat was originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia and was living in Bluff City, TN. She was preceded in death by her son, Jared Dye; parents, Gerald Sherlock and Margaret Sherlock; and sister, Dolores Chabassol.

Pat was a resident of Virginia Beach for 20 years while her husband served in the US Navy. She worked at ENTERCOM Radio in Virginia Beach for several years up until 2002. Pat was a devoted mother to Jared and Justin Dye. She volunteered for many local charitable organizations, notably the Leukemia Society of Virginia and West Virginia, where her son Jared Dye was the Poster Child. As a Navy Wife she lived in several places, including Boston, MA and Clermont, FL. She was known for her energetic and outgoing personality, gracing the lives of the hundreds of friends she made throughout the US, Canada and literally around the world.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Dye (LCRD, USN, Ret); son, Justin Dye, of Franklin, TN; sisters, Bernadette, Kathy, Colleen, Anne, Greta, and Mary; brothers, Bernard, John, Donald, and Skip- all living in Canada; and a host of other family and friends.

The family invites friends for a time of visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk. The Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12 noon. Following the service, she'll be laid to rest beside her son, Jared, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk.
