Pat worked at Channel Crab Co. for several years. She worked for the Virginia Beach Police Department as a Meter Maid and a school crossing guard, as well as Uniway of Tidewater for 15 years. The word that best describes her is “FEISTY”! She was full of energy, always on the go, at work, and dedicated to her family. Left to cherish many memories are her husband of 56 years, Jerry Vernon, Sr.; daughters, Nadine V. Scott and husband Phillip of Moyock, NC and Tina M. Vernon of Chesapeake, VA; grandsons, Gary Scott, Michael J. Wilhelm, Jr., and Jerry Vernon III; granddaughter, Rebecca A. Scott; and great granddaughter, Anna E. King. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Vernon, Jr. Pat will be missed tremendously.
