

Virginia Beach ~ Paul M. Stillwell, Sr., 76, of Virginia Beach, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Born July 29, 1931 in Arkansas to the late Paul A. and Katheryn Bishop Stillwell. Paul was a retired Chief Radioman in the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam War, where he earned the Bronze Star and other conduct medals. He was an avid golfer but his greatest enjoyment was the quality time he spent with family. He was predeceased by two brothers. Paul is survived by his loving and caring wife of 29 years, Maria M. Stillwell of Virginia Beach; four sons, Paul Stillwell, Jr. of Oregon, William McCrickard and wife, Sherri, of Va. Beach, Robert McCrickard of Maryland, Rodney Maschinot of Va. Beach; three daughters, Lynn Polly and husband, Terry, of Va. Beach, Cheryl Carroll and husband, Brandon, of Martinsville, Jamie Driscoll and husband, David, of Va. Beach; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Stillwell and wife, Patricia. A celebration of Paul's life with full naval honors will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 in the mausoleum chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
