Peggy Jean Reeves

Peggy Jean Reeves, 80, wife of Bennie E. Reeves (Curly) and a resident of Virginia Beach passed away at her home on Monday, August 4, 2014 surrounded by family. Born on December 10, 1933 in Lauderdale County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Floyd Sanders and the late Dovie Midyett Sanders. She retired from Doughtie’s Food. She attended Thalia Lynn Baptist Church since 1976.

Other than her husband, she is survived by two sons, Bennie E. Reeves, Jr. and his wife Amy of Fairfax, VA, Bill Reeves and his wife Toney of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter, Sandy Wilbur and her husband Scott of Toledo, OH; a brother, John Floyd Sanders, Jr. of Edith, TN; sister-in-law, Beverly Sanders of Central, TN; nine grandchildren, Matt Wilbur, Ashley Wilbur, Samantha Reeves, Shannon Reeves, Jessica Reeves, Hannah Reeves, Reagan Reeves, Chandler Reeves, and Sarah Reeves.

Peggy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and their activities and sports. She dedicated her life to God and her family. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church with Dr. Prentis Goldrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will join friends on Sunday, August 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E.
