

R. Warren Paris, 55, surrounded by his family and friends, passed away on May 1, 2012 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Mr. Paris was born in Portsmouth, VA and was preceded in death by his parents, George Ralph Paris and Lillie "Bunny" Daniel and his step-father, Barry “Pete” Daniel, Sr. He was a project manager with Baker Roofing of Virginia for thirty-one years and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer and member of the Raccoon Creek Hunt Club. He will be truly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Elisa Sue Paris, a son, Gerald Warren, two sisters, Karen Paris Haddox and husband, Pat; Kimberly Ann Gilbert and husband, Bill; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Alice Wood; a brother-in-law, Jerry Wood and wife, Diane; three sisters-in-law, Teresa Mobarakeh, Michele Duncan and husband, Tootie; Marjorie Kellog and husband, Javs; and seventeen nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 2:00p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by Dr. Kok, Joann, Taylor and Angela at the V.O.A., and the doctors and nurses at Sentara Leigh and Norfolk General Hospitals.
