Richard “Gene” Proctor Age 75 passed away November 10, 2007. He was born in Paragould, Arkansas on May 27, 1932 the son of the late Neslon and Maggie Mayo Proctor.Gene served his country proudly and retired after 30 years in the US Navy as a Master Chief.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife Tena, a son Rick Proctor, his wife Becky from Huntersville, NC. A daughter Tena Marie Braxton, her husband Steve, a grandson Derek Braxton, and a granddaughter Taylor Braxton, all of Virginia Beach, VA. a grandson Chris Clark, and his wife Katie, two great-grandchildren Matthew and Will,all of Huntersville.
He loved his church Carrow Baptist Church. The burial for Gene will be private. A memorial service to celebrate Gene's life will be held at Carrow Baptist Church 5545 Suequehanna Drive Virginia Beach.on Tuesday November 13th, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Allen Hopins and Pastor Bon Wong officiating.In lieu of flowers memorial donation's may be made in Gene's name to the American Cancer Association.
