Ruth Evelyn Williams

Ruth Evelyn Williams, 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Virginia Beach, VA. Ruth was born in Virginia to the late James and Lillie Mae Dozier. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Herman Williams, Sr. as well as two children, Karen Bowman and Tiny Mack and her sister, Leatrice Harper. Ruth worked for several years as a bus operator with TRT. She was most of all a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Cassandra Williams, Cordelia Johnson, Hermette Burrows and husband, Clarence, Willie H. Williams, Jr., Joan Wells and husband, Art, Bryant Williams and Antoinette, Lisa Garnett and Gloria Mack. Ruth is also cherished in memory by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation will be from 5-7pm, Monday, May 3, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in the funeral home chapel.
