Sonia Ferry Aznar, 83 years old, of Virginia Beach was born in the Philippines and later moved to America where she served her country faithfully retiring from the U.S. Navy and the VA Hospital as a Medical Doctor. She was known for her generous heart, her faith, and deep love for all of her family. She always put the needs of others above her own. Sonia's personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing her. Sonia's legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around her with her kindheartedness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.
The family is inviting family and friends to pay respects on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 6-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, VA 23502. A funeral ceremony to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, VA 23502 on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10am.
