Steven is survived by his daughters Shermika Foster and Shaakira Foster-Heyward (Anthony); his mother Vernice Norman; his sisters Elaine Gaskins, Arleen Norman and Stephanie Dunn; his brothers William Norman, Jr, Robert Norman, and Ricky Norman, Mark Norman and Grandchildren; Alaja Floyd, Marqueus Flowers, Jr, Kali Foster-Miles and Amare' Heyward.
Steven was preceded in death by his father William Norman, Sr. and his brother Bruce Norman.
Steven Norman was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Maury High School. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. A man of great strength and unwavering faith, he faced life’s challenges with admirable courage.
Steven was a source of guidance and strength for his family, always ready to provide support and a listening ear. He inspired those around him to find joy in life’s simple moments. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and a true friend to many. Humble and deeply respected, he touched countless lives.
For more than 20 years, Steven worked as a highly regarded auto mechanic at Kramer Goodyear Tires, Tread Quarters and Tire Choice leaving a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers. He instilled in others the values of integrity and hard work. His passion for fixing things, as well as spending time with family and friends, brought him great joy.
Steven will always be remembered for his warm personality and vibrant spirit. His infectious smile and big heart lit up every room he entered, and as many would say, he was the life of the party! He cared deeply for others and could always be depended on in times of need.
His memory will forever stand as a testament to the impact he made on his family, friends, and community.
A visitation for Steven will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
