Teresa M. Thompson

Norfolk-- Teresa M. Thompson, 90, passed away peacefully at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital, May 24, 2008. She was born in Rockland, Maine and moved to Norfolk in 1940. She was preceded by her parents, Carmile and Domenico Mazzeo, both from Italy, eight brothers and two sisters, her husband, Earnest C. Thompson, Sr. and daughter Debra Angela Thompson. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Diane Fogle of Va. Beach, Betty Stamps of Norfolk and son, Ernest (Tom) C. Thompson Jr. and his wife Diane of Chesapeake; five grandsons and two granddaughters: Wayne Fogle Sr. and his wife Janie of Norfolk, J. Kevin Fogle and his wife Donna of Norfolk, Stephen Fogle Sr. and his wife Lorna, of Chesapeake, Wayne and Jeffery Thompson of AZ., Michele Reed and her husband David of Chesapeake and Beryl Perlin of Chesapeake; four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters: Wayne Fogle Jr., of Stafford, Keith Fogle Sr., and his wife Angie, of Fredericksburg, Tiffany and Stephen Fogle Jr., of Chesapeake, Allen Giddins and Sidney Reed, of Chesapeake, Justin and Jamie Thompson, of Va. Beach; two great, great grandsons, Keith Fogle, Jr. and Christopher James, of Fredericksburg, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She retired from the Virginia Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for over 65 years and lifetime member of the Norfolk Women of the Moose Chapter. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Rafferty officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 27, 2008 from 6-8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church 1803 Columbia Ave. Norfolk, VA. 23509 or to the American Diabetes Association.
