Virginia D. Humbert

Virginia D. Humbert, born April 17, 1928 passed away the morning of November 6, 2013 at Autumn Leaves in Flower Mound, Texas. Born in Dixie (Nicholas County), WV she resided in Virginia Beach until June of this year. She married Paul Humbert on June 5, 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her brother Jack (Glenna) Barnett, her son Charles (Linda) Stoltz, as well as her parents, Alonzo and Lula Barnett.

She loved her family and was always there for them. She loved the open water and boating with her husband, Paul. A talented artist, she expressed the beauty of life through her art. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Benita (Richard) Rogers of Virginia Beach, Jocelyn Smith of Virginia Beach, her son Greg (Sherrie) Stoltz of Flower Mound, TX; her sister Charlotte (Gale) Williams of Lima, OH; her brother Bob Barnett, also of Lima, OH; two step-daughters Millie and Karen; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10AM with funeral services to immediately follow at 12PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk VA 23502. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s organization to further efforts for a cure.
