Willard R. Williams

88, passed away May 10, 2016. He was born in Colerain, NC to the late Van and Nannie Williams and was a Korean War Air Force Veteran. Willard was retired from Civil Service at the Naval Air Rework Facility as an Aircraft Mechanic with 31.5 years of service. He was a member of the Norfolk Camp of Gideon’s Int’l since 1974 and served his church as a teacher, deacon, board member and treasurer most of his adult life. Between ages 73 and 81 he followed his passion and went on 11 mission trips with Lend-A-Hand Missions building churches in Central America.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Marion, three daughters: Linda Stallings (Bobby), Gloria Olson (Gregg), Angela Sheppard (Richard), three sons: Terry Williams (Cherie), Van Williams (Eileen), Nathan Williams (Lynda), two brothers: Lloyd Williams (Edna) and Albert Williams. He is also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, plus one in heaven and one on the way.

The funeral will be held, Saturday May 14th at 11 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA. The visitation will be from 10-11 AM the same day.
