William Bowers, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at Sentara Leigh Hospital. He was the widower of Frances Bailey Bowers. He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Duffy and husband Alan; Wanda Overman and husband Martell, and by his sister Ruth Bowers Huff. William was a retired Electrician from Virginia Dominion Power. The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 12 to 1pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, with a graveside service at 1pm in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
