A native of Radford, Virginia Mr. Fortune was preceded in death by his parents Oren P. Whitt and Virginia Howell, a brother Bobby O Fortune and a sister Betty Wilson. He was a member of the Virginia Army National Guard, 121st Signal Company and owner of The Muffler Shop since 1980.
Survivors include loving wife of 57 years Jacqueline Young Fortune; three children Nicki Louk, Travis Fortune and wife Tracy, Whitney Fortune; four grandchildren Hannah Louk, Noah Louk, Jacob Fortune and Kenley Fortune; three sisters Barbara Moore, Mary Cox, Mildred Wilson all of Radford, VA; half-brother Richard Whitt, Timothy Whitt, half-sister Tina Whitt and Ruby Cutchin; multiple nieces and nephews and his faithful and loving granddoggies, Corona and Bo.
“Your journey here on Earth has ended; as you embark on your new adventure we will continue to love and miss you until we meet again.”
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA.
