VIRGINIA BEACH- William Roger Meeks, Sr., 71, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010. He was a loving, devoted husband of 48 years, and a loving, proud father and grandfather. He was an avid Washington Redskins and Lady Monarchs fan. In his free time he enjoyed listening to jazz music, going to the movie theater, and eating at his favorite place, Mary's Restaurant. He was a retired Senior Piping Designer.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lee Sasser Meeks; daughters Sherri M. Lee and her husband Eric, and Cristi M. Goins and her husband Trevor; son William R. Meeks and his wife Marika Merritt; grandchildren Rachel Lauren Lee, Celia Lyn and Calie Dae Felter, Haley Madison and Nathaniel Park Goins.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, from 6 to 8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Services will be private. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
