Anita Louise Seifried, 80, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on December 1, 2025, at 10:15 PM, passing peacefully at her home in Norman, Oklahoma. She was under the loving care of her granddaughter, Kila Henderson; her son, David Seifried; and the Trinity Hospice team after a battle with dementia.
Born on November 28, 1945, in New Holland, Pennsylvania, Anita was the daughter of Wayne Chester and Helen Elizabeth Brubaker. She was a devoted wife, a mother of seven, and a grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Anita dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for others. She was a longtime member of First Moore Baptist Church, where she worked in childcare until she retired. She adored children and was known for always having candy or a small gift ready for any child who came to visit.
A woman of discipline and routine, Anita woke at 4:30 AM every morning to tidy her home before starting her day. She found joy in life’s colorful details, especially the color purple. She loved Jesus, music, dancing, watching her soap operas, and shopping when she was able. She also had a special fondness for McDonald’s frappés, enjoying one almost every day.
Always stylish, her eyeshadow and nail polish were always perfectly matched to her outfit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Helen Brubaker.
Anita is survived by her husband, Raymond Gale Seifried of Norman, Oklahoma; her sister, Maribelle Jean Long of Camden, Delaware; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; and her seven children: Michael Seifried of Seneca, Missouri; Scott Seifried of Rochester, Pennsylvania; Jim Seifried of Norman, Oklahoma; Daniel Seifried of Newalla, Oklahoma; David Seifried of Norman, Oklahoma; Angela Alcazar of Lexington, Oklahoma; and Amy Wade of Norman, Oklahoma; as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anita’s faith, joy, love, laughter, and devotion will truly be missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 1109 N. Porter Ave., Norman, OK 73071, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Anita will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 2301 East Indian Hills Road, Norman.
