Anne N Southard

Anne Nicole “Nicki” (Demmer) Southard was born on January 1st, 1942, the New Year’s baby for Massillon Ohio in 1942, to Darwin L. & Florence G. Demmer. She passed away on November 18th, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK. She married Robert (Bob) P. G. Southard on June 14, 1963, in Warren, Ohio.

Nicki graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1959. Prior to her marriage, she attended Hiram College in Hiram Ohio where she majored in general studies. Nicki touched many lives and was loved by family and friends. Over her years she taught Sunday school, Lead Youth Groups, Women’s Study Groups & various Sales Groups.

Nicki loved painting, and has many works throughout the country on various items from clothing to furniture. She customized each item she was asked to paint, so that each was one of a kind, like her. She also enjoyed caining chairs/rush weaving, an art which she dearly loved & enjoyed. She was an avid crocheter & made several items which she gave away to those in need. She was known for always doing something special for others.

Most recently she was employed by River wind Casino and enjoyed working in their gift shop where she tried to get to know all her co-workers and customers and bring a smile to their face, daily. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her!

She was preceded by her parents, Florence (Goss) Demmer & Darwin L. Demmer & a Sister-in-law, Lois Snelson. Nicki is survived by her Husband Robert (Bob) P. G. Southard; Sister Marcia Russ and her husband John of Huron, OH; Daughter Babette (Southard) Seals and her husband David of Ardmore, OK; Son Spain Southard and his wife Christine of Noble, OK; Grandchildren, Brianna (Seals) Stuckey and her husband, Brian of Wilson, OK, David K. Seals Jr., United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, Madolynne J. Seals of Ardmore, OK, Brent Southard of Norman, OK, Troy Southard of Noble, OK, and Elizabeth Southard of Noble, OK; Great Grandchildren Ryan and Kyle Stuckey of Wilson, OK; Brother –in-law Lynn Snelson of Warren, OH; 4 nieces and 1 nephew of Ohio & Minnesota & great nieces & nephews. Also, Nicki is survived by many friends that we call family there are too many to mention, but, you know who you are. .
