Bessie L. “Norda” Waddle, 87, of Norman, died on November 8, 2010 in Norman. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Primrose Chapel. Interment will follow at Blackburn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
Mrs. Waddle was born on April 30, 1923 in Norman to Martin and Bertha Mae (White) Clinkenbeard. She spent all of her childhood in the Norman area. She married Norvin Hugh Waddle on September 7, 1939 in Norman and they raised three children.
Her professional career included various clerical positions. She enjoyed her weekly poker game with the family, country music, being outside and especially fishing. She was a very caring woman and never said anything bad.
Mrs. Waddle is survived by her daughter, Nila Hensley and her husband Bill of Oklahoma City; two sons, Dean Waddle and his wife Melba of Tulsa and Melvin Calhoun and his wife DeeDee of Norman; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and five brothers.
