Mrs. Betty Jean Renegar

She led a full and adventurous life with her husband traveling throughout the United States, Mexico and Alaska in their motor home. She enjoyed quilting, playing bridge and spending time with her family.

Betty graduated from Minco High School and married James. F. Renegar in 1936. They were married for 70 wonderful years. She was the Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Tuttle, Ok. She was employed at the University of Oklahoma until she retired in 1985. She was called Sugar Pie or Mamaw by all that loved and knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, mother, two sisters, daughter, Beverly Leigh and granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband, James “Doc” Renegar; daughter, Judy Pitt of Norman; daughter, Sandy Smith and her husband Hal, of Norman; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Primrose Funeral Service in Norman, Oklahoma.
