

Charles D. Hale, 80, of Norman, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at his home, due to complications from a stroke. He was the seventh of nine children, born January 13, 1934, to Tom and Annie Hale in Boswell, Oklahoma.
Charles was a member of the South Norman Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Charles was loyal to his family and in his faithfulness to Jehovah God. Once he learned the wonderful hope of living forever on a paradise earth without pain, sickness or death he wanted to share this hope with everyone he could.
He is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Betty (Forbau); son, Danny Hale and wife Bonny; daughter, Diane Flores; granddaughter, Chauncey Tatum and husband Bryan; sister, Tela Joyce Barrick; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Jesse, A.J., Kenneth, Jerry and Donald; two sisters, Callie Marie, Sally; and a son-in-law, David L. Flores.
The family greatly appreciates Loving Care Hospice and the compassion they showed in caring for him.
As a child he was affectionately nicknamed “Hoochie.” Hoochie will be missed.
Memorial service will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Primrose Chapel.
