Charles Ryan Jr., 85 of Norman, went to meet his Lord on February 22, 2014 in Norman. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Primrose Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Norman IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Primrose Funeral Service. Services are entrusted to Primrose Funeral Service.
Mr. Ryan was born on April 16, 1928 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Charles Ryan Sr. and Grace (Allen) Ryan. He has been a lifelong Oklahoman. He proudly served in the United States Navy and the United States Air Force, fighting in both World War II and the Korean War. After his time in the Korean War, he worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for over 38 years.
He was a great family man with the philosophy that God and family came first.
Mr. Ryan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 43 years, Dorris Ryan and four sisters.
He is survived by his two sons, Charles Larry Ryan and Phillip Mark Ryan; two daughters, Mary Ann Hudson and Patricia Lynn Ryan; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
