

Clay was a loving father, son, and brother. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and was an avid reader. He graduated from Norman High School and went on to the University of Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Following 9/11, Clay joined the police force in Colorado, where he was an officer, detective, and instructor. He later served as an instructor for the national police force in Afghanistan. He most recently completed the Oklahoma alternative teacher certification program.
Clay was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Abigail Cross of Norman; parents, Jack and Pat Cross of Norman; brother, Greg Cross and wife, Leigh; nieces Hazel and Maxine; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Alameda Church of Christ in Norman with minister Rusty Tugman officiating.
