Don was born March 18, 1933, in Norman to Arthur F. “Tom” and Eunice B. Wilkerson. He attended Moore High School and later worked as an electrician for General Motors, Local 1999, retiring in 1996. Don’s greatest achievement in life is his children. He loved to play horseshoes, fish and camp. He also enjoyed wood-working and furniture restoration.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Anna Wilkerson, and brother, Charles Wilkerson.
Don is survived by his wife of thirty years, Sue; daughter Karen Douglass and husband Steve of Guthrie, son Dana Wilkerson and wife Judy of Stillwater, daughter Jeanne Triplett of Edmond, step-daughter Cynthia Kinnamon and husband Terry of Norman, step-son Frank Towery of Oklahoma City, step-son Aaron Towery and wife Kate of Richmond, VA; sister Marlene Spence of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Patricia Wilkerson; thirteen grand-children, 18 great grand-children and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
