

Eduardo was born in Tondo, Manila, the Philippines on October 13, 1926 to Lorenzo I. Cuaderes and Anacleta Flores. He was the oldest of four brothers and attended elementary and high school in Tondo. After World War II he attended the Mapua Institute of Technology. In 1948 Eduardo was awarded a fellowship in airways engineering at the C.A.A. Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
While a student in Oklahoma City, Eduardo met and fell in love with Rilla Marie Jones, a student at O.U. School of Nursing. They were married on January 22, 1949. Over the following sixty two years of marriage, they were blessed with thirteen children, twenty eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Eduardo retired from the Oklahoma Department of Highways in 1986 after serving 30 years as an engineer. He was especially proud of his contributions to the development of President Eisenhower’s National System of Interstate and Defense Highways.
After retirement, Eduardo and Rilla were able to travel to the Philippines regularly.
Eduardo is survived by his wife Rilla and a large devoted family who will forever miss his quiet loving ways.
There will be a prayer vigil on Monday, March 21 at 6:00 PM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Norman, Oklahoma. On Tuesday, March 22, at 10:30 AM a Funeral Mass will be held in the main sanctuary at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
