Jess was born in Mineola, NY and raised in Williston Park, NY before moving to Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma. Jess was the beloved daughter of Margaret and the late Mitchell Patrick Gillin.
She worked for many years for the United States Postal Service in Noble, OK. Jess lived in Noble for most of her life with her beloved son William “Billy” Parker. Jess was preceded in death by her son.
Survivors include her mother Margaret: sister Maureen Gillin Bednarski and Brother-in-Law Edward Bednarski, a niece Kelly and nephew Ryan.
She is remembered for her love of gardening and animals, especially birds. She will forever be in our hearts.
Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January, 15 followed by the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at The Chapel of St. Joseph Catholic Church in the Parish Center at 421 E. Acres St. Norman. OK. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
