Elizabeth “Liz” Mary Crawford was born on March 1, 1930, in Verdon, Oklahoma, the second youngest of twelve siblings. She passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Liz lived a long and full life marked by deep faith, quiet strength, and a heart devoted to serving others.
A devoted mother of three—Larry Anthony, Ronald Anthony, and Janis Christian—Liz poured her love into her children and grandchildren with unwavering dedication. She had a lifelong passion for reading, learning, and expanding her knowledge. Her children and grandchildren carry forward the values she lived by: compassion, humility, and a steadfast commitment to helping others.
Elizabeth was a strong Christian whose faith guided every aspect of her life. She was an active member of CrossPointe Church, where she found joy and purpose in fellowship, worship, and service. Whether through a kind word, a handwritten card, or a helping hand, Liz lived out her faith with sincerity and grace.
She was also known for her love of gardening, baking, canning, and especially cooking large family meals—a gift she used to bless countless people. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and generosity, where friends and family were always welcomed with homemade treats and heartfelt hospitality. Serving and giving to others was not just something she did; it was who she was. Liz could often be found listening to her favorite gospel hymns, country music, or talk radio, and watching her beloved Fox News. She enjoyed traveling to Branson with her husband, Bill, attending large family reunions, and especially cherished holiday gatherings with loved ones.
Liz leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered for her giving heart and for so often being found wearing an apron—either in her garden or in the kitchen. Each evening, she could be found faithfully reading her Bible or daily devotion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin J. Jantz and Emelia Schmit Jantz; her siblings Lincoln Jantz, Ervin Jantz, Leona Jantz, Iva Becker, Mildred Koehn, Annie Ratzliff, Malinda Schmidt, and Rubie Koehn; her husband, Bill Crawford; and her great-grandson, Ethan Anthony.
She is survived by her sister Pauline Decker, son Larry Anthony and wife Barbara of Atlanta, Georgia; son Ronald Anthony of Norman, Oklahoma; and daughter Janis Christian and husband Lee Roy of Newcastle, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Larry Dean Anthony; Craig Anthony and Breana Love; Brandie Christian; Dari and Trey Roberts; Jassen Anthony; Jennifer Anthony; and Randall and Suzanne Anthony; along with 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Though her absence is deeply felt, her influence and example will remain strong in the lives she touched.
May her soul find rest, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
