

Glennie was born to John Francis Graham and Leona Mae (Simpson) Graham on May 28, 1932 in Liberal, Kansas. The family moved to Longrun, Missouri when Glennie was still a baby. In 1949, when Glennie was 17, the Graham family moved to Washington, Oklahoma. Soon after, Glennie moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where she worked at the Sooner Drug Store on Campus Corner.
It was there that Glennie met the love of her life, Ronald Applegarth. They married June 23, 1957 and were married for over 65 years at the time of Ronald's passing. Ronald and Glennie have 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Glennie loved to cook for her family and was known for her huge holiday meals, which she prepared herself. She collected recipes and cookbooks, and enjoyed exchanging recipes with family and friends. Glennie liked to sew, quilt and crochet, and she made quilts and afghans for her children and grandchildren. She loved flowers and planted many varieties of irises in many different colors. She was also a devout member of the Church of Christ.
Glennie was preceded in death by her parents, John Francis Graham and Leona Mae Graham; sisters Versa Lowe, Glessie Rieves, Dorothy Trent, Mae Roe and Myrtle McDaniel, and brothers Paul Graham and David Graham. She was also preceded by her husband, Ronald Applegarth.
Glennie is survived by her children, Mae Cavins and husband Howard, Faye Wallace and husband Roy, and Dwain Applegarth; grandchildren, Kaylie Bailey and husband Trace, Jennifer Smallwood and husband Ryan, Tony Wallace, and Joe Cavins; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Georgia Bailey, and Chloe and Corwin Smallwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 3901 N Flood Ave, Norman, Oklahoma,on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM, after which she will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
