

Wanda “Kay” Brewster, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on August 28, 2025, surrounded by love and family. Born on April 25, 1959, in Sedro Woolley, Washington, Kay’s journey through life was one marked by creativity, compassion, and deep devotion to those she loved.
She was the daughter of Earl Maxwell Walls and Dawn Cline. Kay lived a vibrant life across several states including Washington, California, Texas, and Colorado before finally settling in Oklahoma. Wherever she went, Kay brought with her a joyful spirit and an open heart.
Kay earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and devoted her professional life to helping others as a Registered Nurse, a career she was deeply proud of. She found great fulfillment in caring for those in need, and her work reflected her generous and nurturing nature.
In her personal life, Kay was a lover of the arts, known for her creativity in the kitchen and her passion for music, especially classic rock and the Beatles. Nothing made her happier than a day at the beach, surrounded by family, laughter, and a good joke.
Kay was a member of LifeSpring Church in Norman, where she found community, faith, and a deeper devotion to our lord.
On January 10, 1992, she married the love of her life, Benjamin Harris Brewster III, and together they built a beautiful life until his passing in 2011. Kay found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.
Kay is survived by her loving son JD Brewster and his wife Dana of Norman, Oklahoma; brothers Donnie Haynes Jr. of Lexington, OK, Daniel Haynes (Amanda) of Lexington, OK, Bobby Walls (Karri) of Independence, MO, Troy Walls (Karen) of Independence, MO, and Shannon Walls (Amber) of Powhatan, VA; sisters Tammy Wilkerson (Rick) of Lexington, OK, and Faith Haynes of Lexington, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Diana Doswell of Dunkirk, MD; six cherished grandchildren: Rayne Caldwell, Lilith Brewster, Kaia Lavastida, Benjamin Lavastida, Clarice Brewster, and Adalyn Brewster; and 8 nieces and 9 nephews who brought great joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Brewster III, her daughter Chasity Brewster, her brother-in-law Joe Doswell, and stepfather Don Haynes.
Kay’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and boundless creativity. She will be remembered for the way she lit up a room, her infectious laughter, and the countless lives she touched through her work and her presence.
