Kenneth served in the United States Navy as a navy firefighter. He was unfortunately injured during the Vietnam War. Kenneth later received a National Defense Service Medal in grateful acknowledgment of his service to his country.
After his service in the Navy, Kenneth began a career with GM. Retiring, he spent the last 15 years at the Norman VA Hospital, where he passed his time in the company of his friends among the other veterans and the nursing staff.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his step-father Donald Korte.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Oma Irene Korte and his son, Kenneth Martin Jr. He is also survived by his brothers Mike Martin, Jerry Martin and his sister Lavon Martin, as well as half-brother Charles Korte, step-brother Mike Korte, and step-sister Pam Korte.
