

Lester Ford Wallace, Jr. 93 was born in Fort Worth, TX on July 6, 1931 to Gladys Oma (Ford) Wallace and Lester Ford Wallace, Sr. He grew up in Keller, TX and enjoyed playing all high schoolsports. During the Korean War he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving for two years in a combat theater he was awarded the following: Korean War Service Medal, UN Service Medal, National Defense Medal, and Korean Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He returned to Donaldson Air Force Base. After discharge he returned to Texas attending TCU and later graduating in 1960 from North Texas University with a Bachelor in Business degree. In 1956 he served as Scoutmaster for the Keller Boy Scout Troupe and coach for a youth group baseball team. He was a member of Keller Volunteer Fire Dept for 3 years.
He married Pamela Lee Smith in Dallas, TX 1974. In his forties, they welcomed two daughters Sara and Katherine. After working in several companies in Ft. Worth, Dallas, Battle Creek, he retired as an auditor for Standard Coffee based out of New Orleans. He received a company citation for driving 500,000 miles without an accident. Upon retirement as an auditor, he became an independent real estate appraiser in Norman, Oklahoma. Lester worked as a business adviser to Junior Achievement in Ft. Worth and as United Way business advisor in Battle Creek Michigan. In Norman he was a Life Member and served VFW Post 4890 as Quartermaster, Adjutant, Commander, and Trustee. He was a Life Member and past Commander of the American Legion and Member of 40/8.
Lester passed on June 16, 2025 at the Oklahoma City Veterans Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Lester is survived by his wife Pamela, daughters Sara Elizabeth Wallace and Katherine Lee Kelley and husband Scotty Kelley; grandchildren Alexa Wallace Ace, Bryce Ford Wallace, Audrey Belle Wallace Boyd, Jace Lee Kelley, Hailey Kelley and great granddaughter Serenity Kelley.
A visitation for Lester will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. Family will be receiving guests from 1-3. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Fort Sill National Cemetery, 2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1601 W Imhoff Rd., Norman, Oklahoma 73072.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church of Norman or Dale Graham Veteran's Foundation.
