Lee Alexis Martin IV, known to all as Lex Martin, passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2025, at the age of 45. Lex was born on August 16, 1979, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Lee Alexis Martin III and Renee Martin (Waldroop).
Throughout his life, Lex lived in many places, calling them home: Altus, St. Augustine, Florida, Norman, Tulsa, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Austin, Texas, and ultimately Oklahoma City. He worked as a carpenter, welder, bartender, doorman, and fine dining contributing to a variety of projects with local artists and movie sets. Lex had a hand in building sets for the popular series Tulsa King, Twister, and skate ramps for local icons Dirty, Clint, and others. He was even credited for his work on the first Birdhouse movie since the 90s.
A lover of music, Lex found joy in hip hop and chill beats, and he was always seeking out the best restaurants, especially those serving pho, fresh veggies and authentic Mexican food. He had a deep compassion for others and could often be found handing out gloves and blankets to those in need. Above all, Lex cherished his time with family, especially his niece, nephews, and his beloved dog, Betty Jane.
Lex’s kindness and sense of humor knew no bounds. He had an infectious laugh, loved to joke around with friends, and always appreciated the quirky, the weird, and the funny things in life. His enormous heart and his willingness to support anyone in need will never be forgotten. Lex lived life to the fullest with many amazing experiences while absorbing every single detail.
