

Lowel Gordon Rhodes, Sr., 86, passed away January 1, 2012. Lowel was born to Edd and Minnie Rhodes on July 12, 1925 in Mifflen, Indiana. He served in the United States Navy from 1943-1946. After rendering his service to his country, Lowel became a plumber and was a proud member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union, Local 344 for 60 years.
Lowel was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Anna Mae Gilmore; second wife, Rosie Margaret Bruehl; daughter Susan Storm; sister, Geneva Casey and brothers, Loshel Shelby Rhodes and Coy Lee Rhodes.
Lowel is survived by his son, Lowel Gordon Rhodes, Jr. of Wakefield, RI; daughter, Linda Gregory and husband Leslie of Noble; son-in-law, Dan Storm and wife Freda of Norman; daughter-in-law, Nancy Rhodes of Griswold, CT; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
The Rhodes family would like to thank Heavenly Hospice for the excellent care and valuable help they provided to the family, particularly Lowel’s nurses, Mindy Reece and Shelly Denson.
Memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
Services for Mr. Rhodes will be 10:00Am Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Primrose Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are trusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service, www.primrosefuneralservice.com
