Mark Chester Mania

Mark Chester Mania, age 69, passed away on August 23, 2024. Born on June 18, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, Mark was the first member of his family to be born in the United States. He was the son of Tacjana and Stanislaw Mania, who had emigrated from Poland.

Mark retired as a plumber with Local #344. His siblings, who were born in Germany, came to the United States after World War II. Mark married Kathryn Schmidt, the love of his life, in 1979. He was warmly embraced by Kathryn's extensive family, including five sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Mark is preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Reager; his brothers, Wally Mania and Jon Mania; and his niece, Tina Reager.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Kathryn Mania (Schmidt), originally from Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and their three children: daughters Jackie Mania-Singer and Jessica Mania, and son Mark Thom Mania. Mark is also survived by two grandchildren, Gabby Singer and Ethan Singer, all of whom reside in Oklahoma. Additionally, he is survived by his niece Jamie Mania of Michigan and three nephews: Gary Reager Jr., Mike Reager of Michigan, and Stan Mania of Tennessee.

Mark was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace.

Per his wishes, no funeral will be held but would like to be remembered!
