Mary Sue Hames

She was born June 19, 1941 in Tribbey, OK to Isaac and Luta Bowerman she was one of 13 children. She attended Tribbey and Noble Schools and was a member of the church of Christ. She married Donald C. Hames on February 18, 1958 in Norman.

Mary loved working with the elderly. She retired from Griffin Memorial Hospital. She loved meeting with the ladies on Wednesday mornings at Noble Church of Christ for Bible Study and going out on Thursday on the van with the ladies. She worked in the clothing house. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, planting flowers and working in the garden. She loved music but above all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of almost 58 years Donald; son: Donald Lee; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Billy Ray Hames and Charles Wayne Hames; and nine siblings.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday January 3, 2016 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter Ave. Norman, OK. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday January 4, 2016 at the Noble Church of Christ, 111 N Main St, Noble, OK 73068. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park and Cemetery in Norman. The Rev. Ken Ellis will officiate.
