Patrick graduated from Duncan High School in 1961 and later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Throughout his life, he lived in Midland, Texas, Colorado, and for a short time in Arizona, before eventually settling in Norman, Oklahoma, where he remained a devoted Sooner at heart.
Patrick was a dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, he built a successful career as a petroleum land manager. Over the years, he owned and operated several small businesses. Later in life, he worked as an academic book buyer, purchasing materials from professors at colleges across multiple states.
Patrick had a talent for conversation and humor. He was an adventurous, generous, and humble man. Patrick enjoyed music, especially Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, and Glen Campbell. A passionate sports fan, he enthusiastically followed OU softball, OU football, and anything related to the University of Oklahoma. He also loved watching the Little League World Series, carefully handwriting his own March Madness brackets each year, long road trips, family history, reading obituaries, and most of all, spending cherished time with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, a devoted family man, and friend. He will also be remembered as quite possibly the biggest OU fan ever. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.
