Raymond Carl Gouthier Sr., “Dodad”, of Norman, OK passed at home on June 20, 2024, at the age of 87. Born May 28, 1937, to Arthur and Josephine Gouthier, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Ray entered the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and proudly served 20 years. Following his military career, he worked as a civilian at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring after 20 years. Raymond settled in Little Axe, Oklahoma, where he lived for 52 years. He was a member of the McAlester Scottish Rite for 50+ years, Bikers Against Child Abuse for 18+ years, and the American Legion Post 170. Raymond attended Moore First Church of God.
He was a pillar of strength, a reservoir of knowledge, and a source of endless support. His hard work shaped our world, and his moral compass guided us. He was a protector, a mentor, and role model to so many. He took great pride in his role of, “Dodad” not only to his family but to the many lives he touched throughout his life.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine, his son Raymond Gouthier Jr. and daughter-in-law Violeta, his daughter Mechelle Lea and son-in-law Eric, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, his brother Grover Gouthier and wife Linda, his sister Elanor McAlpine and husband Dewayne, his cousin Harry Gouthier.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Josephine Gouthier, sister Lottie Gouthier.
