

Rosalee “Abe” (Memal) Edgeman, 84, of Norman, Oklahoma died September 17, 2014 at her home in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born at home in Mustang, Oklahoma on March 25, 1930 to Hiram B. Calvert and Izora V. Calvert.
Rosalee graduated from nursing school as an LPN and worked at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home until she retired at 73.
Since her family was in construction, she lived in numerous states until the family returned home to Norman in 1971.
She was an active member of the Noble Alumni Association up until she had a stroke on December 2, 2005.
Rosalee was married to James Kimble “Short” Edgeman on January 21, 1948.
She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; three sisters; her husband, Short Edgeman; two sons, Terry Edgeman and Darrell Edgeman; and her great-grandson, James.
She is survived by two sisters, Esther Bryant and Doreta Cheatwood of Noble, Oklahoma; two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and David Cronkhite and Darlene Edgeman, all of Norman, Oklahoma; two sons, Rodney Edgeman and Anita of Springfield, Missouri, and Donnie Edgeman of Long Lane, Missouri; 18 grandchildren: Timmy, Kim, Jimmy, Terry, Shayna, Shawn, Billy, Barbie, Michael, Jarrett, Lindsey, Jennifer, Bryant, Elizabeth, Kelsy, Tonya, Hannah, and Sara; 37 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Primrose Chapel. Burial will be at Norman IOOF Cemetery, under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
