

Sharon Lou Harris, born January 24, 1943, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, entered eternal rest on December 30, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Sharon’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
She was the cherished daughter of Grady Boyd and Nina Tennessee Ashford Boyd. In September 1964, Sharon married the love of her life, Jasper Barton (JB) Harris, and together they built a life filled with joy and shared dreams until his passing in February 2017.
A proud graduate of Friend High School, Sharon continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, pursuing her aspirations with determination and grace. Her professional journey led her to IMMY, where she served as a Mycologist. Sharon’s dedication and expertise left an indelible mark on the field, and her contributions will be remembered for years to come.
Above all, Sharon was a devoted mother to her daughter, Amy Patterson (married to Carl Barnes of Lexington, Oklahoma), and a loving grandmother to Amanda and Asia, as well as a proud great-grandmother to Farralynn, Rosalynn, and Elliana. She also treasured her siblings, Betty Clark and Sam Boyd (and his wife Laurel Boyd), all of Blanchard, Oklahoma. Sharon was survived by both Betty and Sam.
Sharon embraced life with a spirit of adventure and creativity. She loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, and listening to her favorite music—especially Elvis. Her talents in crocheting and ceramics brought beauty and joy to those around her. Through her example, Sharon taught patience, kindness, and the importance of cherishing every moment. She wished to be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.
A visitation will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 3901 N Flood Ave., Norman, OK, 73069, on Thursday January 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Primrose Funeral Service on Friday January 9, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm. The final resting place is Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 2301 E Indian Hills Rd., Norman, OK, 73071.
