Shirley M. Dodson

Shirley M. Dodson left this earth for an eternal life in Heaven on October 17, 2017. She was born to Virgil Allen and Eunice (Williams) Dodson on September 14, 1935. She attended high school and graduated from Noble, OK. There she met and married Patrick Dale Plumlee. Three children were born into this marriage.

She loved her heavenly Father and was a follower of Jesus Christ. Her greatest love in this life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed time spent with friends and family, reading and gardening.

After her children were married, she attended classes at Rose State University, Oklahoma State University of Oklahoma City, and South Oklahoma City College. She retired from the University of Oklahoma while working in the College of Engineering.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Scott Patrick Plumlee, great-grandson Sean Dale Plumlee and sister Marie Blood.

Survived by her children Pamela (Plumlee) and Daniel McDowe, Gregory D. and B.J. Plumlee, and Phillip E. Plumlee; grandchildren Robert and Anita Plumlee, Joanna Trimble and Colt Lemmon, Josh and Nikkie Plumlee and Mikayla Plumlee; great-grandchildren Christian Plumlee, Dakota Plumlee, Gracelyn Frick and Sylas Lemmon, Lily Lemmon, Penelope Lemmon. She is also survived by two brothers Roy and Virginia Dodson and Bill Dodson, longest and dearest friend Hazel Winslow and dear friend Sandy Duncan and many other family members and friends.

Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday October 21, 2017 at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel. Stella Perry will officiate.
