Shirley Nylene Finch

Shirley Nylene (Roberts) Finch a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother long time resident of Norman, OK passed to her eternal life on Thursday October 6, 2022 at the age of 88 surrounded by family in Norman, Oklahoma.

Shirley was born January 11, 1934 in Morris, Ok to Carl and Helen Roberts. She graduated from Morris High School and attended Draughons Business School in Tulsa, Ok.

On September 19,1954, she married her beloved Husband of 67 years William Finch in Okmulgee, Ok. Together they had three wonderful children, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Shirley Retired from Farmers Insurance Group in 2016 where she worked as an insurance claims clerk. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, learning about the Lord and watching NASCAR..

Shirley is survived by her children; Stephen and wife Robin Finch of Morris, OK; Teresa Finch and husband Kevin Spence of Stratford, OK; Janice and husband Timothy Alvarez of Norman, Ok; three grandchildren Joshua Finch of Morris, OK; Jamie Finch of Morris, OK; Kayti and Husband Adam Allen of Wichita, KS and one great grandchild; William Finch of Tulsa, Ok; Grand Dog Cooper Finch of Stratford, OK; Great Granddog Poppy Allen of Wichita, KS and Roscoe Finch of Morris, OK.

She is preceded in death by her husband William Finch, parents Carl and Helen Roberts.

Shirley will be laid to rest on October 13,2022 alongside her loving husband at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Ok

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Shirley’s name to Carpenter Place 1501 N Meridian Ave, Wichita KS 67203 a children's home where her granddaughter Kayti and Husband Adam are house parents.
