Tawana Coleman

Tawana Michelle Coleman came into this world a 7 pound, 15 oz. bundle of joy. She was born in Phoenix, AZ. April 14, 1971 to Thomas Coleman and Sherry Monson. She had lived most all of her life in Norman, Ok. Throughout her life she made many friends that she loved like family. Some of those closest to her became her extended family. Tawana would introduce them as mom, or my dad. Tawana considered lots of her friends to be her brothers and sisters. Tawana was a hard working, fun loving person who lived life, mostly on her terms. She was very intelligent and creative; able to do a lot with the little she had. Tawana departed from us on July 4, 2010 and was preceded in death by her sister Lisa Marie Coleman, Uncle Kenneth Lee Standridge, and many other family members and friends. She is survived by her Moms and Dads, Thomas and Lori Coleman, and Sherry and Rick Monson, her brothers Jacob and Joseph Coleman, and many other family and friends of which there are too many to mention; and for this, we offer our deepest apologizes.

Family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm on Friday, July 09.

Services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, July 10 at the Primrose Chapel. Burial will be at Norman IOOF Cemetery, under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
