Alexander Armand Tootoosis

Alexander will always be remembered by his wife Arlene Wolf; his daughters Geraldine, Alexandra, and Louann and mother of his children Audrey; his sons Daniel and Desi; brothers Jerome, Richard (Gwen), Patrick, Paul (Darlene), Clayton (Verna), and Wayne (Val); sisters Marie Tootoosis (Harrison) and Emma Star; brother in-law Sherwin Machiskinik; grandchildren Latoya, Warren, Shaquille, Talon, Darian, Raven and Keiran; great-grandchildren Skylen, Warren Jr., Kingston and Summer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Jim Sr. and Jenny Tootoosis; brothers Jacob and Jim Jr. Tootoosis; sister Bertha Tootoosis; grandchildren Morning Meetoos and Skyler Meetoos.

Funeral services for Alexander were held on Friday, April 24th 2020 from the Veteran's Hall in Poundmaker Cree Nation following a one day wake. Alexander was interred at the Poundmaker Cemetery.

Alexander was an experienced hunter, trapper, and fisherman. He spent countless hours mastering all types of dance: traditional, chicken, grass, hoop and fancy. He was a spiritual man and upheld many traditions, and his knowledge of history and storytelling was vast. We are richer for knowing him and hearing his wise words.
