Eugene is survived by his son Jerome and grandsons Sean and Christopher; brother William; nephews Don Uebell and Lloyd Lavin; nieces Lorraine, Anne-Marie, Sheila, Donna, and Rita; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Winnifred; brothers Mike, John, and Tom; sister Mary Uebell; and nephew Owen Lavin.
Eugene was born at the family homestead near Chitek Lake, SK. He grew up there and continued to farm with his brothers until his illness made it impossible to continue, but he always talked about going back home to the ranch.
Eugene’s famiy wishes to sincerely thank the nurses and staff of the Sask Hospital for their kind care and support given to Eugene over the years.
Memorial service was held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 2:30 PM from the Saskatchewan Hospital Chapel, North Battleford, Saskatchewan with Reverend Father Gerard Legaspi as celebrant.
