Our favourite memories of Terry, in no particular order.
Terry squished between Steve and Tim on golf carts, Terry manning the gas pedal.
Terry's job was to make coffee at the workshop - we heard about it all the time - his enthusiasm was evident.
Before his heart surgery, his energy had waned and he didn't want to do anything. After his surgery, he was a different guy for awhile. Steve brought Terry to one of our boy's tournaments in Biggar, where Terry ran around the arena making friends with everyone. (My friend) (My friend) He had so much fun that day.
Steve's early Christmas party were a family favourite and Terry would greet us with his Santa toque on and a big Meewwy Chrismas and a sloppy kiss. He really enjoyed the kids when they were small.
On the way to his surgery in Edmonton, we had a bit of time at our place. He wasn't interested in coming outside with me, so I set him up with the t.v. on a sports channel. Imagine my surprise when I came in to check on him and he had found those certain channels way up high on the list. Two surprises there - I didn't know those channels were there and that Terry knew how to operate a satellite remote that confused others.
Terry LOVED a party. When he came with Steve to the early birthday parties for our kids, he always came in with a big "Meeewwy Christmas" and a grin. He knew it wasn't Christmas!
He gave compliments when we were dressed up pretty.
He really enjoyed his 50th Birthday party, put on by his loving caregiver family, grinning throughout. I hope there are pictures somewhere.
Terry was a sweet and stubborn soul who taught people things, whether they were ready to learn or not.
