Anna was born on July 25, 1928 in Stephansposching, Germany, where she was cherished by her beloved mother, Anna Schreiber Fischer.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Burl Taylor, and second husband, Ernest Meree; as well as her son, Walter Klaus Taylor.
Anna was married to Burl Taylor, who served in the United States Army in 1952, and they came to the US to reside. They moved to Georgetown, SC, which was where Burl had grown up. Later, Burl enlisted in the US Air Force, which uprooted them to West Palm Beach, FL.
Anna proudly became a citizen of the United States of America on June 5th, 1957. That was a monumental day for Anna, and she took great pride in her studies of America, and was proactive in staying knowledgeable about American politics. Soon after, she also obtained her driver’s license. Anna and her husband then settled into their home, in Ladson, SC once Burl retired from active duty. She loved her home and was always determined to keep it meticulous, comfortable, and welcoming. She enjoyed the intricacy of interior design, as well as many other craft-related hobbies.
Anna was active at Peace Presbyterian Church, starting in 1989 and became a member in 1993. She befriended many in groups she belonged to at the church, and made it her mission to assist with all that she could. Her willingness to help and positive attitude will be sorely missed.
Her last days were spent at Harmony at Wescott of Summerville, SC.
A special thank you to the caring staff and nurses of both Harmony at Wescott, Crescent Hospice, and the caregivers of Always Best Care Senior Services.
