When I think back on my life it’s hard not to think about my first two loves. I know that today is a day to remember Papa, but it’s hard not to loop Granny and him together. As a child I felt an outpouring of love from both of them. Never did I ever wonder if they were going to be there for me. They came to every sporting event, graduation, my wedding, and when I was down they were both there to pick me up. They had the best hugs and hands to hold. They never skipped a beat at being the most phenomenal
grandparents. They showed me what it feels like to truly be loved. I have a thousand memories I could
share up here that would fill up a book, but I think the thing that I most remember is how much they
loved each other. Growing up I got a front row seat to witness the crazy love that they had for each
other. The way they loved each other was something special that you don’t run across very often. In a way I feel like today is a day of celebration and immense grief for everyone here. A celebration because I know that Papa is now back with his one true love. So today I am going to close my eyes and imagine that he is running to her in his Air Force uniform and she’s there waiting on him with her bright red lipstick and red fingernails and they are dancing cheek to cheek like they used to when they were older in Moncks Corner. Then after they share that dance they have both been waiting on for so long, they throw their leathers on and ride out on their trike feeling whole and alive again. As we lay Papa to rest today I know I will never have a second where I won’t miss him and a hole in my heart that will take a while to heal, but I hope we can all reach peace knowing that we were all loved by him and if we see a cardinal in the yard that’s him looking in on us from time to time. I will miss and love you til my last breath.

We met Bobby a few years ago when my mom moved into Evergreen house. His  beautiful eyes and smile were alway wonderful to see. He will always be remembered for slow dancing with my mom. He will be missed. Prayers for your family.

My mom, Louise O’Neal, and Mr Bobby enjoyed great times at Evergreen together. They both came about the same time and enjoyed evening meals and socializing with each other all the time. Mr. Bobby sure enjoyed his ice cream and he and my mom would talk about it every day. He was a wonderful man. I know you will miss him dearly.  May he rest in peace as I  know our Lord welcomed him with, well done my good and faithful servant! I hope he tells my mom I said hello! Deepest sympathy, Sarah O. White
