Bryan Whipkins

Bryan was born July 16, 1990, in Charleston, SC, to Glen Ray and Mischelle Renee (Darr) Whipkins. Bryan attended school in Carrollton and Norborne, Missouri and graduated from Stratford High School in Goose Creek, SC, class of 2009.

Bryan was a loving son, a carefree person. He attended Wando Woods Baptist Church and Worship Center with family in South Carolina and was a member of Carrollton Christian Church in Carrollton, Missouri.

Bryan attended welding school at the Missouri Welding Institute. Bryan had several jobs in welding. He was recently employed at Lox Construction.

Bryan had many great joys in his life: hunting, fishing, and taking care of his chickens. Bryan would throw a golf ball for them, a game they played often.

Bryan’s latest interest was going on adventures on his motorcycle. He made two trips to Sturgis, two trips to South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Bryan rode the Tail of the Dragon, Needles Highway. He loved riding on challenging and famous roads.

He was working on getting his Polar Bear patch at the time of his death. He was collecting patches from every state he rode in.

Bryan was a member of the West Central Missouri Polar Bear Riders and Vulcan Riders Association International “VRA”. Bryan rode over 500 miles in honor of his late Grandfather, Arthur Darr.

He is survived by his father, Glen Ray Whipkins and wife, Shannon of Dearborn, MO; his mother, Mischelle Coggins (Ronald) of Summerville, SC; sister, Nikki Whipkins of Carrollton, MO; brothers, Zane Whipkins of Albany, MO and RJ Coggins of Aiea, Hawaii; grandparents, Mick and Nancy Whipkins of Carrollton, MO and Doris Darr of Charleston, SC; aunts and uncles, Julie Finley (Kevin) of Bonner Springs, KS, Mikki Sue Ford (Kevin) of Carrollton, MO, Marcy Whipkins (Jeremy Delaney) of Warsaw, MO, and Alan Darr of North Carolina; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Darr, and uncles, Ronald and Gary Darr.

A Celebration of Bryan's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
