

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles L. Corrigan II (Butch), age 64, of Reevesville, SC, who peacefully departed this world on July 15, 2023. He was born in Honolulu, HI to Charles and Gaynelle Corrigan, both of whom preceded him in death. Butch leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his beloved wife, Louise Corrigan, and his two devoted sons, Charles “Chip” L. Corrigan III and Aaron “Mikey” M. Corrigan.
Butch will also be fondly remembered by his brothers, William E. Corrigan and David W. Corrigan, along with his Aunt Lynette Hood-Meyers and Uncle William “Bill” Corrigan. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Willard Boykin and Grace Boykin.
A man of honor and duty, Butch served his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he pursued higher education at the College of Charleston, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science and public administration and government.
In his professional life, Butch was the proud owner of Legacy Home Builders, a testament to his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. He was a skilled craftsman who brought dreams to life and left a lasting mark on the communities he served.
Beyond his work, Butch found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, shrimper, and passionate bird hunter. His love for nature was infectious, and he shared these pursuits with family and friends, creating cherished memories for all.
Above all, Butch's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, always there to support his sons in every endeavor. He actively participated in their lives, cheering them on through their adventures in boy scouts, football, and baseball.
As we bid farewell to Butch, we remember the warmth of his smile, the strength of his character, and the compassion he showed to those around him. His kindness and guidance will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
A visitation at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home for Charles will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home chapel from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
