David Carlisle Stroud

STROUD, David Carlisle. David Carlisle Stroud, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 04, 2025 in Summerville, South Carolina. He was born in 1933 in Nichols, SC to the late David Oneal and Mabel Olean Stroud. Carlisle was predeceased by his brother Earl Stroud.

He retired from Mead Westvaco and was a long time member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Carlisle will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara S. Stroud, his two sons, David C. Stroud Jr., (Lynnette), of Goose Creek, Frederick S. Stroud (Barbara) of Charleston; two grandchildren, Lindsey Esarey (Andrew) and Michael Stroud; two great-grandchildren, Kash and Addison Esarey; a sister, Marie Godin (Jerry) and brother Wayne Stroud.

Carlisle’s funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Summerville.

The Village at Summerville, Agape Hospice and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church were so kind and loving every step of the way, we are thankful for their compassionate and caring ways.
