Delma DJ Jean Koerner

Delma Jean (D.J.) Gagat, Koerner of N. Charleston born May 12, 1981, beloved wife of Adam Koerner left this life on September 29, 2015 due to complications from diabetes. She is a graduate of R.B. Stall H.S were she was involved in cheerleading. She was a student at Trident Technical College where she was pursuing a degree in Medical Billing and Coding. D.J. will always be remembered for her beautiful love, light, and laughter. She loved the outdoors and her life in Alaska while her, and her husband where stationed at Elmendorf AFB (Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson). She is the Daughter of the late Steve Gagat and Agnes (Beena) Gagat. She was preceded in death by her Father Steve Gagat, Uncle Joe Mattox, her Aunt Delma (Ma) Hair, and her first dog Tyson. She is survived by her Husband Adam Koerner, Mother Beena Gagat, and her dog Zoey; Adams parents Lydell & Kathy Koerner, brothers & Sister In-law Travis, Ryan & Heather Koerner as well as her nephews Skylar and Noah Koerner. She is also survived by Maternal Uncle Rocky (Pappy) Hair; Uncle Harvey & Aunt Georgia Mattox and their families as well as her late Uncle Joe’s children; Paternal Uncle Bernie & Aunt Karen; Aunt Gloria and their families. The visitation and funeral services will be held at Carolina Memorial Park on Monday Oct 5, 2015. Visitation will be from 10 am-12 pm; Funeral service in the chapel will start at 12 pm, immediately followed by a short service in the Valor section of the Park.
